I hope you enjoy this chapter ❤️

Arjun’s POV~

She looked absolutely mesmerizing in that purple dress.

I couldn’t stop myself from looking at her.

As she stepped inside the hostel, I turned my car around and drove back to the restaurant to pick up my friends.

They were already waiting for me. As soon as I arrived, both Rajveer and Sourav settled into the car, and we drove toward our apartment.

Sourav sat in the back seat, looking out the window, a smile tugging at his lips.

I caught his expression through the rearview mirror and smirked.

"What’s with that smile, Sourav?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

He turned to me. "Oh, I can’t stop thinking about Mary’s friend, Chandni. She was so funny," he chuckled.

I sighed, remembering her words.

"By the way, how was your experience dropping the girls off at their hostel for the first time in your life?" Sourav smirked knowingly.

I didn’t hesitate. "Best experience of my life," I admitted, being completely honest.

How could I forget her eyes?

Her sweet fragrance.

And especially—her heart-shaped lips.

They were so kissable.

She’s the first girl who has ever messed with my self-control.

I could feel my deep, dark desires surfacing because of her mere presence.

This was just our third meeting, yet it felt like I had known her forever—like I could spend my entire life with her.

I should have realized it the moment we met—

That day, she didn’t just spill coffee on my shirt…

She spilled it on my discipline.

On my focus.

On my control.

She was a mixture of innocence and seduction—a combination I never knew could exist together.

We soon reached the apartment, and everyone retired to their rooms.

I stepped inside my bedroom and headed straight for a cold shower—for very inappropriate reasons.

After freshening up, I lay on my stomach, replaying the entire day in my mind.

And then—

I suddenly remembered something.

That small mole behind her right ear…

Fuck.

That looked so sensual.

I would really like to kiss it one day.

I reached for my phone from the side table, lying on my back as I unlocked it.

I searched for the name "Diamond."

Yeah, I know—it’s cringy.

But that was my first reaction when I saw her eyes.

They were like diamonds.

I opened WhatsApp and clicked on her profile.

In her display picture, she was wearing black jeans and a crop top, smiling beautifully at the camera.

A smile unconsciously appeared on my face.

I caressed her picture on my screen.

"We’ll be together soon, darling," I muttered under my breath.

The next morning, before heading to class, I messaged her:

"Meet me at the cafeteria after your classes."

"Where’s Rohit?" someone asked.

I smirked, knowing exactly where he was.

"He’s in the hospital. Someone beat him up brutally last night."

Rajveer turned to me, eyes wide in shock.

"You did this?"

"Who else do you think?" Sourav answered for me before I could.

I ignored them, heading to my usual last bench in class and taking my seat.

Within a few moments, both Rajveer and Sourav sat beside me.

After finishing our classes, we stepped outside the classroom.

"That’s enough for today. I’m really bored—let’s go to the club, boys!" Sourav said, tossing his bag into the back seat of the car.

"You guys carry on. I need to meet someone," I replied, taking out my phone to check my messages.

"Who?" Rajveer asked.

But before I could answer, Sourav smirked.

"Ladki ka chakkar, Babu Bhaiya."

(It’s all because of a girl, brother.)

I sighed. "We all know who the real hooker here is."

Rajveer chuckled. I bet Sourav was sulking, but hey—truth is the truth.

I checked my phone again.

She replied after two hours with just one word:

"Ok."

I smirked and made my way to the cafeteria.

She was sitting alone, sipping on a cold coffee while scrolling through Instagram reels.

I walked up and sat beside her.

She noticed me and immediately put her phone aside.

"So?" she raised an eyebrow.

"So?" I repeated, teasing her.

She sighed. "You said you wanted to meet."

She glanced around, noticing people staring at us.

I reached for her hand. "Let’s go somewhere else."

She hesitated but eventually nodded.

"Wanna go outside the university or to the garden?" I asked, looking at her.

"Garden," she answered instantly.

Of course.

It was just a five-minute walk from the cafeteria.

Once we reached, she sat on the grass, pulling her knees to her chest.

I observed her for a moment before placing my bag in my lap and sitting beside her—keeping a decent distance to ensure her comfort.

"So… this is your last year here?" I asked.

She hummed, "Hmm."

I sighed, pulling my own knees to my chest and wrapping my arms around them, mirroring her posture.

"Yeah… seven months left before I go back to Mumbai to handle my responsibilities."

I paused before adding, "So I want to live these months on my own terms."

She smirked knowingly.

"And why do you want to spend them with me?" she asked, reading my mind.

I let out a small chuckle.

"Maybe because you’re not like the other girls who just want my money—something I’ve seen since my teenage years."

She chuckled, shaking her head.

"And how do you know I don’t run after money?" she challenged. "I’m studying here on an education loan that I’ll have to repay once I get a job."

I grinned. "You know what? My intuition tells me that even if I offered to pay off your loan right now, you’d reject it."

She laughed. "Yeah. Now I think we’re really friends."

She smiled brightly.

For some reason, it felt like a big deal to me.

"By the way, what’s your age?" she suddenly asked.

"I’m turning twenty-five in four days."

She straightened up. "We’ll celebrate it together!" she said, excitement shining in her eyes.

I couldn’t help but smile.

"This is the first time I’ve seen you smile," she pointed out.

Our gazes locked for a moment before she stood up.

"I should go now."

I also stood up. "And your age?"

"Twenty-three."
